ALVARO combines the understated sophistication of matte grey with exceptionally soft genuine leather, creating a refined men’s tango shoe designed for balance, control, comfort and fluid movement. Handcrafted in our workshop in Türkiye, ALVARO is developed for Argentine Tango, Tango Vals, Milonga, professional performances and intensive practice. Its discreet grey tone also allows the model to move naturally beyond the dance floor, making it suitable for elegant events, evening combinations and sophisticated daily styling.

SOFT MATTE GREY GENUINE LEATHER

The upper is crafted from exceptionally soft matte grey genuine leather, selected for its supple character and ability to adapt naturally around the foot.

Unlike rigid or highly polished leather surfaces, ALVARO has a smooth matte finish with a subtle natural reflection. The leather follows the contours of the foot while preserving the clean structure expected from a classic men’s Tango shoe.

The result is a model that feels understated from a distance but reveals the quality of its leather, stitching and handmade construction when viewed closely.

CLASSIC LACE-UP CONSTRUCTION

ALVARO features a clean lace-up configuration designed to provide adjustable support across the instep.

The laces allow the upper to be regulated according to the dancer’s foot structure, helping create a more connected fit during walking, pivots and directional changes.

Its minimal panel construction avoids unnecessary decorative elements, allowing the soft grey genuine leather and carefully shaped silhouette to define the character of the shoe.

PROFESSIONAL MEN’S TANGO SILHOUETTE

ALVARO has been shaped specifically around the requirements of men’s Tango movement.

Its elongated front profile maintains a refined appearance without becoming excessively pointed, while the low heel and close-to-the-floor structure support natural weight transfer.

The smooth side lines and gently structured heel section help keep the foot visually and physically connected to the shoe during walking sequences, ochos, giros and changes of direction.

STANDARD 2 CM MEN’S TANGO HEEL

ALVARO is produced with our standard men’s Tango heel of approximately 2 CM.

This low and balanced heel configuration supports a natural standing position while maintaining the subtle elevation traditionally associated with men’s Argentine Tango footwear.

The 2 CM structure helps distribute weight between the heel and forefoot, contributing to controlled transitions, stable walking and comfortable use during long milongas, classes and performances.

BALANCECORE™ STABILITY SYSTEM

ALVARO incorporates the BALANCECORE™ Stability System, developed specifically around the movement requirements of GELTONY men’s Tango footwear.

The system supports controlled weight transfer between the heel, arch and forefoot while helping maintain stability during pivots, walking sequences and directional changes.

Rather than making the shoe unnecessarily rigid, BALANCECORE™ works together with the flexible leather construction to preserve natural movement.

ABRAZO™ HIDDEN LIFT STRUCTURE

The ABRAZO™ Hidden Lift Structure is integrated into the internal geometry of ALVARO to support posture, balance and connection during Argentine Tango.

Its purpose is to create a subtle internal relationship between the dancer, the shoe and the floor without altering the classic external appearance of the model.

This is particularly important during close-embrace dancing, where small changes in posture and weight transfer directly influence movement and communication between partners.

COMFLOW™ ORTHOPEDIC TOE CUSHIONING

The forefoot incorporates COMFLOW™ Orthopedic Toe Cushioning to provide additional softness beneath an area that experiences continuous pressure during Tango walking and prolonged standing.

This cushioning works together with the soft genuine leather upper to help reduce the harsh sensation commonly associated with traditional formal footwear.

For dancers spending several hours at a milonga, festival, class or rehearsal, this additional forefoot comfort becomes particularly valuable.

SHINELINE™ INNER LINING

The interior of ALVARO is finished with SHINELINE™ premium inner lining.

Its smooth internal surface is designed to provide comfortable contact around the foot while complementing the soft external leather structure.

Together with the carefully shaped collar and padded heel area, SHINELINE™ contributes to a more comfortable experience during extended dance sessions.

PROFESSIONAL SUEDE DANCE SOLE

The ALVARO shown in the photographs features a professional suede dance sole.

Suede provides the controlled relationship between grip and glide required on suitable indoor Tango floors. It supports pivots and rotational movements while maintaining enough floor connection for precise walking and directional changes.

The suede construction also contributes to the lightweight and flexible character expected from a professional Tango shoe.

SOLE OPTIONS

ALVARO can be configured according to the dancer’s intended use:

• Suede Sole: Featured in the photographs. Recommended for Tango, Milonga, Tango Vals, practice and suitable indoor dance floors.

• Leather Sole: A traditional option offering a smooth relationship with the floor, suitable for Tango, stage and performance use.

• Flat Leather Sole: An alternative configuration for dancers seeking a different floor response and selected daily or elegant casual use.

SIZE & FIT OPTIONS

ALVARO can be handcrafted in EU 33–48, including personalized sizing options.

For a more accurate fit evaluation, customers may provide foot length and 360° metatarsal circumference measurements for both feet.

Every pair of ALVARO is individually produced in our workshop, allowing the model to be personalized according to individual preferences.

All GELTONY models can be produced in the color of your choice.

Depending on the selected configuration, personalization may include upper color, leather selection, sole type, Regular or Wide fit, half sizes and personalized measurement adjustments.

This allows the understated ALVARO silhouette to be produced in different leather and color combinations while preserving its original construction.

Every pair of ALVARO is handcrafted in our workshop in Türkiye.

From the cutting and preparation of the genuine leather to the shaping of the upper, lace section, heel structure, internal support systems and final sole application, each stage is completed with attention to dance functionality and traditional shoemaking craftsmanship.

The result is not simply a formal-looking men’s shoe adapted for Tango. ALVARO is constructed as a dedicated men’s dance shoe with the balance, flexibility and floor relationship required by Argentine Tango.

COLOR & MATERIAL NOTICE

The genuine leather used in ALVARO features a soft matte grey surface with subtle natural reflections. Depending on daylight, studio lighting, viewing angle and screen settings, the leather may appear between medium grey, graphite grey and slightly cooler metallic-grey tones.

These subtle tonal changes are characteristic of genuine leather and different lighting environments. Natural variations in grain and surface texture may also occur from pair to pair, reflecting the individual character of genuine leather and handmade production.
